外语课堂学习中的焦虑情绪


   外语课堂焦虑是焦虑情绪的一种表现形式,外语课堂焦虑对学生的学习有非常重要的影响。一方面,适当的焦虑情绪对个体有激活作用,对个人的学习有一定的作用是可取的;另一方面,总体来说,焦虑情绪与外语学习水平呈负相关,焦虑情绪过强或者过弱,都会影响外语学习效率。因此,帮助学生克服外语课堂焦虑情绪,对于其学习效果至关重要。尤其在今天,外语学习在国内非常流行,外语焦虑研究更应该引起广大关注。借鉴以往对外语课堂焦虑的研究,本文主要从以下几个方面研究外语课堂焦虑对外语学习的影响:外语课堂焦虑的含义,外语课堂焦虑的表现, 焦虑产生的原因,焦虑对外语学习的影响以及应对策略。

ABSTRACT

Foreign language classroom anxiety is one of the various kinds of anxieties. Foreign language classroom anxiety plays a very important role in the course of our study. On one hand, a proper amount of anxiety can work as a motivation and do good to one’s study; on the other hand, foreign language classroom anxiety, generally speaking, has a bad influence on the effectiveness of study. Too much or too little of it will both destroy the effect of our study. Therefore, it seems important to help students overcome this anxiety thus improve the result of learning. Recently, foreign language learning becomes more and more popular in China, which means we ought to pay more attention to the study of foreign language classroom anxiety. On the basis of the study above, this article will focus on the following aspects: the definition of foreign language classroom anxiety, the performances, the resources of it, and its influence on foreign language study and how to overcome this anxiety. I hope more people can begin to think about this problem and come up with more approaches to dealing with it.
