目的论视角下的汉语旅游文本英译


对外旅游宣传品承载着提升旅游产品形象、拓展国际市场的重要功能。目前,中国的外宣旅游文本的宣传效果不好,还有很多翻译问题需要解决。本项研究尝试从目的论翻译观入手,探讨如何通过有效的翻译提高对外旅游文本的宣传效果。
建立在行为理论基础上的功能目的论认为翻译活动皆有目的,不同的翻译策略应由不同的翻译目的和交际功能决定。该理论从翻译目的出发,注重翻译文本的功能性,同时也强调了原文分析的必要性,为各类实用性文体的翻译提供了很好的理论基础。
本文在对目的论和旅游文本的特点做了简要介绍和比较之后,得出了目的论能够较好指导汉语旅游文本英译活动的结论。这一观点,在本文最后一节的总结和举例中得到证明。

Translating Chinese Tourist Texts: From the Perspective of Skopos Theory

Abstract: Tourist texts play an important role in international tourism industry. The function of tourist texts is to attract potential tourists. However, China's tourist texts written in English are not effective in this aspect. This research attempts to find ways of bettering the publicity effects of tourist texts through translation in a functional approach.
Skopostheorie holds that every translation activity has its certain purposes; different translations trategies are determined by different "Skopos",and communicative functions. This theory starts from translation Skopos and puts emphasis on the function of translation. At the same time, it stresses the essentiality of source-text analysis,thus providing a theoretieal foundation for translating various kinds of pragmatic texts.
After a brief study of Skopostheorie and the main features of tourist texts,this thesis draws the conclusion that Skopostheorie can well direct the translation of Chinese tourist texts, which is proved by several examples in the last chapter of this thesis.
