当今世界是一个讲“礼”的社会,送礼是非常常见的社会现象。但由于文化差异的存在,在国际商务交际中,送礼问题极其复杂。比如,亚洲国家送礼忌讳颇多,而西方国家送礼忌讳较少。商务送礼更是体现为一种艺术和技巧,从时间、地点到选择礼品,每一种都是很费人心思的事情。但若能更多地了解相关国家的礼品知识,将会对实现成功的商业交际有所助益。本文借用莫斯的礼物交换理论和布劳的辩证交换理论,对国际商务交际中的送礼现象进行了分析,详细阐述了商务送礼对国际商务活动的影响及送礼策略。本文旨在帮助人们更多地了解国际商务交际中的送礼知识,希望能对大家在商务活动中有所帮助。

An Analysis of Gift-giving in International Business Communications

Abstract

The world today is a society that focuses on "ceremony", gift-giving is a very common social phenomenon. However, due to the existence of cultural differences in international business communications, gift-giving is extremely complex. For example, in the Asian countries, it has more taboos of sending gifts, but in the western countries, it has less taboos.Business gift-giving is a kind of art and skill. taking the time, place and selection of giving gifts into consideratiions, each of them needs careful considerations. If we can learn more about the knowledge of gifts of relevant countries, it will be helpful to achieve successful business communications.This thesis analyzes the gift-giving phenomenon in international business communications through Mauss's gift-exchanging theory and Blau's dialectical exchanging theory, and elaborates the impact and strategies of business gift-giving in international business activities. This article is expected to help people learn more about the knowledge of gift-giving in international business communications, and hope to be helpful for people when doing business activities.
