关于乔治•艾略特小说中爱情观的研究—以《米德尔马契》为例

乔治•艾略特是英国十九世纪杰出的批判现实主义作家。她在英国乃至世界文学中占有重要的地位。文章试从女权主义角度入手，对艾略特的爱情观进行简要分析，并对《米德尔马契》中的人物多萝西亚的爱情观进行系统分析。首先，通过探究乔治•艾略特的反叛行为及其独特的不同于维多利亚时期传统的女性形象,揭示其深邃的女权主义思想。其次, 讨论了多萝西亚与众不同的价值取向及其独立的女权思想。通过多萝西亚的一系列活动来展现艾略特追求自由，独立与平等的勇气与决心。最后, 研究了多萝西亚与艾略特爱情婚姻的相似性。文章试图说明艾略特小说中人物爱情观的形成与维多利亚的时代背景和艾略特个人的经历有着紧密的联系。

Study on Love View in the Novels of George Eliot                   
       —Take Middlemarch as an Example 
Abstract
George Eliot is an outstanding writer of critical realism in the nineteenth Century. She plays an important role in English and world literature. Starting from the feminism perspective, the essay analyzes Eliot’s love view and Dorothea’s love view in Middlemarch. Firstly, the essay discusses the female image of George Eliot who is different from the traditional Victorian women, by describing the act of rebellion of George Eliot, reveals her feminist thoughts. Secondly, the essay talks about the Dorothea’s unusual value orientation and her independent feminist consciousness. Dorothea’s activities show Eliot’s courage and determination to pursuit freedom, independence and equality. Finally, the essay studies the similarity of Dorothea’s and Eliot’s love and marriage. The essay concludes that the forming of character’s love view has a close connection with Victorian background and Eliot’s own experiences.
