中美家庭价值观的对比研究
价值观在很大程度上与文化紧密结合，生活在不同文化背景下的人有不同的价值观。作为社会经济活动的缩影，家庭是人类社会最基本的组成单位之一。因此，家庭价值观对人们的行为具有决定性的影响。毫无疑问，家庭价值观成为价值观研究的核心。
本文分为三部分，主要讨论了中美两国具有代表性的核心家庭价值观。第一章介绍了家庭及家庭价值观的定义，从中我们可以认识到它们的重要性。第二章分别从集体主义和个人主义，孝文化，婚姻观以及家庭成员之间的关系等四个方面探求中美家庭价值观的差异。在对比中我们发现，中国人对家庭的重视远远超过于其对自身的重视。然而，在美国家庭中，个人的自由、平等和权力则排在首要地位。第三章指出了导致两国家庭价值观出现差异的三个主要原因: 地理环境、历史及宗教信仰和家庭教育。
通过对中美两国家庭价值观的对比研究，我们能更好的理解彼此的文化。这对两国的交流活动具有深远的意义。

A Comparative Study on Family Values between China and America
Abstract
Ethical values are tightly integrated with cultures in a large degree. Different cultures carry different ethical values. Family, as the miniature of the social economic activity, is one of the most basic elements of human society. Therefore, family values which have decisive influence on people’s behavior undoubtedly become the core in the research of ethical values of people.
The thesis mainly discusses some typical family core values, and is divided into three parts. Chapter one introduces the definition of family as well as family values through which we can realize the importance of them. Chapter two discusses respectively the differences between American family values and Chinese family values from four aspects: the concept of collectivism and individualism, filial piety culture, marriage values and the relationship among family members. From this chapter, we can find out that Chinese people attach more importance to their families than they do to themselves as an individual. However, individual freedom, equality and power are placed in the primacy in American family. In chapter three, three main reasons are presented for those differences on family values in the two countries. They are: geography, history and religious belief, family education.
Through a comparative study on family values between China and America, we can better understand the culture of each other, which paves the way to successful communication.
