从“两会”翻译看新闻口译中译员的素质
本文旨在通过对中国人民政治协商会议及全国人民代表大会（简称“两会“）中外记者新闻发布会上发言人及口译人员的发言稿进行梳理，并针对口译人员的表现及行为分析，进而归纳总结出新闻口译中译员所应具备的素质。本文首先简要介绍了该论文的写作背景及写作意义，也简要陈述了“两会”的概况和特点。接着从政治素质角度出发，指出新闻口译中译员所应具备的政治常识及政治觉悟。然后，作者介绍了译员的业务素质，并从译员的扎实的语言功底及灵活多变的翻译策略方面，结合2013年“两会”新闻发布会的实例加以分析论证。随后作者又分别从身体素质和心理素质方面分析。最后作者得出结论：作为一名新闻口译者，不仅要永无止境地学习新的知识，更要不断培养自己的政治意识，提高自己的文化素养，在翻译开始前还要尽可能作好详尽的准备工作，如搞清会谈的主题、目的、具体环境、翻译对象、有关术语等，以做到有备无患。

The Interpreters’ Qualities in News Interpreting—A Case Study of the Two Sessions of the NPC and CPPCC
Abstract: The author discuses the qualities of news interpreters by analyzing the behavior of the interpreters of the press conferences of the two sessions of the NPC and the CPPCC. Due to its particularity, the two sessions have direct influence on foreign people’s impression on both China and Chinese people. With China’s development and growing stronger day by day, the world pays much more attention to China’s opinions and advice on international events. It is a channel for China to communicate with other countries in the world. Therefore, the quality of the interpretation of the two sessions affects the impression of other countries’ people on China. The author introduces the backgrounds of the thesis and the meaning in writing it. Also, there is simple introduction of the two sessions and their features. The author thinks that the interpreters of the two sessions and even the news interpreters should have general knowledge of politics and political consciousness. Then, the author analyzes the news interpreters’ professional quality in two sections. Then come the interpreters’ physical quality and psychological quality. In the end, the author gets the conclusion of the thesis: as news interpreters, they should not only keep on studying to acquire new knowledge, but also develop political and cultural consciousness. Besides, before the interpreting, the interpreters ought to make good preparation, such as understanding the themes, spokesmen and audience, purposes, backgrounds and the terms related.
