教师在应对“哑巴英语”过程中的新角色

随着社会的不断发展,英语已经在人们的日常生活中起到了越来越重要的作用,然而“哑巴英语”现象却仍是中国英语口语教学的痼疾并广泛存在。“哑巴英语”现象的存在和英语口语教学中所存在的弊端是不可分割的。所以要改变“哑巴英语”现象的存在,必须解决好英语口语教学中存在的问题,找出可行的对策。同时教师在英语口语教学中发挥着非常重要的角色并且对学生的英语口语能力有直接的影响。本文对“哑巴英语”现象以及其存在的原因进行了具体的分析,同时对英语口语教学中存在的问题进行了深入的分析并提出了许多解决问题的措施。最后,分析了教师在应对中学生“哑巴英语”过程中的新角色,从而使教师意识到自己在中学英语口语教学中的重要作用。通过以上分析,亦在改变“哑巴英语”现象。学生应该学会用其所学自由表达自己的思想并且能用英语与他人进行流利的交流。最后,通过以上努力,使口语不再是英语交流中的障碍。

New Roles of Teachers in the Problem-solving Process of “Dumb English”
Abstract

With the continuous development of society, English is playing an increasingly important role in all aspects of people’s lives. However, the “dumb English” is widespread and is like a chronic disease in oral English teaching in China. The existence of “dumb English” and the drawbacks in oral English teaching are inseparable. In order to change the phenomenon of “dumb English”, we must find the reasons in oral English teaching. Meanwhile, teachers play a very important role in oral English teaching and have a direct impact on the oral English competence of students. This article makes a specific analysis of this phenomenon and the causes of the existence of “dumb English”. Moreover, focused on the problems, the paper proposes some measures and suggestions. Finally, it analyzes teachers’ new roles in solving dumb English in middle school to make teachers be aware of their important roles. Through the analysis, the author aims to eliminate the status of “dumb English”. Students should use what they have learned to express them freely and make communication with others fluently. So through all efforts, poor oral English would not be a barrier in communication.
