中英身势语中的文化差异

众所周知，非言语交际在人际交往中起着很重要的作用。身势语作为非言语交际的核心，也是文化的一部分。必须承认中英身势语也有相似之处。然而，由于地域，种族及文化习俗的区别，大部分身势语仍存在着许多差异。就这点而言，身势语受文化制约并拥有其独特的文化内涵。也就是说，同样的身势语在不同文化背景下有不同的含义，行使着不同的社会功能。
本文将从目光语言、手势、面部表情、体触语和姿势这几个方面来比较不同文化间的身势语。目的在于展示不同文化间的身势语的异同点；同时就如何消除交流障碍，使跨文化交流能够有效地进行提出了建议。

Abstract
As is known to all, nonverbal communication plays an important role in interpersonal communication. Body language is the core of nonverbal communication and it is also a part of culture. It is acknowledged that body language in Chinese and English has some similarities. However, most of the body language in different cultures varies from one another because of different regions, races and cultural customs. In this regard, body language is restricted by its culture and has different cultural connotations. That is to say, the same body language has different meanings in different cultures and has different social functions.
This paper focuses on comparison of body language in different cultures in terms of eye language, gestures, facial expressions, body touch and postures. It aims to illustrate the differences and similarities of body language in different cultures and put forward some suggestions for reducing barriers in communication so as to achieve a better effect in intercultural communication.
