略论体态语及其在英语教学中的应用


体态语是人们之间相互交流的一种重要媒介。21世纪,随着全球化的加深和不同国家地区人们交往的需要,英语作为一种世界范围内广泛应用的语言,教师如何更好的在课堂教授学生学习英语日益引起人们的重视。在大学英语课堂中,教师不仅要运用好口头语言和书面语言,还要科学、合理、艺术的运用好面部表情、手势,身体姿态及目光等,以此达到鼓励学生,加深学生课堂学习印象,取得良好的英语教学效果的目的。然而,目前大学英语课堂教师体态语言的运用还存在着随意性、模糊性、习惯性、不协调性等诸多问题。 本文在借鉴前人研究成果和自身调查研究的基础上,分析体态语以及其在大学英语课堂的重要性及应用特征,以期获得有益启示,提高教师有效体态语言在大学英语课堂中的运用频率,优化大学英语教学的效果。

On Body Language and Its Application in English Teaching

Abstract: Body language is an important part of nonverbal communication and it is also an important medium through which people can communicate with each other. In 21st century, with the globalization and communication between people from different nations, people pay more and more attention to how teachers teach English in class. In a college English teaching class, teachers transmit information to their students not only by verbal and written language, but also through facial expressions, gestures movements and eyesight .All of these are our body language. Using body language properly can help the English teachers achieve good results by encouragement, suggestions and exchanges between students and themselves, so that students will have deeper impressions on what the teacher taught. While through the author and other people’s research we can find that there are still many problems in the application of body language in college English teaching class, such as arbitrariness, fuzziness, habituation and incoordination. This paper tries to analyze the importance and some characteristics of body language in college English teaching. The author’s study is based on the researches of the predecessors. What the author hope is that the college English teachers and students can benefit something from my research and learn to use body language properly. So both the English teachers and English learners can achieve better teaching and learning results in college English teaching class and the goal of improving efficiency in English teaching will be achieved. Therefore, it is important and necessary to use body language properly in college English teaching class.
