试析《红字》中的清教思想
清教主义，是美利坚民族社会体制形成的砥柱和美利坚民族文化形成的一个主导因素。可以说，不了解美国清教主义就不能了解美国人的行为方式和风俗习惯.通过对霍桑《红字》进行解析，阐述清教徒以及他们的清教主义对美国主流文化和价值观的形成起到的重要作用。
