美国大学教学模式对中国高等教育的启示


现代国家的发展与大学的成长息息相关,大学是国家实现现代化最有效的动力之一。中国大学如何跻身于世界一流大学行列?我们中国大学,尤其是在教学模式和体制上目前都存在哪些不足?这都是教育学者们一直以来都在探索的问题。美国大学始终以为急剧变化中的社会提供实用的知识和训练有素的人才作为大学的使命。它们的很多方面,尤其是教学模式,很值得中国学习。本文主要通过分析中美两国大学教育在教学模式,包括课堂教学方式,师生关系,管理体制及考核制度等方面的差异,归纳出中国大学教育与美国大学教育的特点,从而更加深刻的认识和了解中美两国在教学模式上的差异。同时在此基础上,通过借鉴美国大学课堂的成功经验来反思我国大学在课堂教学上存在的问题,为中国大学的教育提出建设性建议,并最终推进中国大学的创造性发展,使其早日步入世界一流大学之列。

Revelation of American University Education to China from   Teaching Model

Abstract

The progress of a country has a close relationship with the development of universities. Universities are the most effective drive for the realization of country modernization. How can Chinese universities step into the greatest world universities? What kinds of problems exist in our teaching model and education system? Those are key questions concerned by educational scholars all over the years. It is the goals for American universities to provide practical knowledge and intelligible people for the fiercely changing society. Many aspects, especially the teaching model, have great influences on china. This paper aims to generalize features of teaching model in Chinese and American universities by analyzing their class teaching methods, teacher-student relationship, management models and evaluation systems in order to have a better understanding of their differences. Based on that analysis, this paper not only tries to offer some constructive suggestions and revelations for the Chinese universities to promote its creative development and step into the greatest world university earlier, but also helps Chinese universities solve their existing problems in the teaching model through drawing on the successful teaching experiences of American universities.
