以《白鹿原》为例看国产大片片名的翻译

在经济全球化与文化交融的背景下, 电影在国际文化交流中发挥了越来越重要的作用。近年来，有不少国产大片进军海外市场，对外国人来说，从中国影片里可以了解到中国的文化、历史和变化。所以，我们在引进来外国电影的同时，也要让中国电影走出去。而国产大片要想在国外市场上获得很好的宣传，并取得可观的票房收入，片名的翻译就变得至关重要，因为它在很大程度上决定了一部电影的成功与否。本文就国产大片片名翻译过程中的相关问题进行了分析和探讨，第一部分简单介绍《白鹿原》这部大片及其片名翻译。第二部分概述国产大片片名的翻译现状。第三部分分析国产大片片名翻译过程中的影响因素。第四部分和第五部分归纳片名翻译的原则及翻译方法。第六部分是总结全文。

Translation of Titles of Chinese Blockbusters
            ---Taking Bailuyuan for Example

Abstract

In recent years，with economic globalization and cultural blend increasing , more and more Chinese blockbusters are entering the overseas market, and foreigners can get a better understanding of the culture, history and changes of China by means of those Chinese films. It is known to us all that a good promotion and box office are the essences of a film, so the translation of film titles is becoming an indispensable part of the success of a film. This thesis focuses on the problems concerning the title translation of Chinese blockbusters in the hope of offering some help to the prosperity of China’s film industry. The first part of the essay briefly introduces the Chinese film《白鹿原》and its translation. The second part brings out the problems existing in the title translation of Chinese blockbusters. The third part serves as an introduction to the factors affecting the title translation of those Chinese blockbusters. Then the fourth and fifth parts present the principles and methods in translating film titles. Finally, this thesis reaches a conclusion.
