汉英颜色词的翻译对比及交际中的应用

语言是文化的载体，颜色词作为语言的一部分，不仅具有明显的美感功能,还具有丰富的感情色彩和文化内涵，所以翻译活动不仅仅是两种语言之间的转换，它还包括蕴含在语言背后的两种文化的交流。由于地理、文化、宗教等方面的差异，不同文化的人们对颜色词的感受和表达不尽相同，对颜色词产生的联想意义和语用意义各有差异。通过对汉英颜色词的翻译对比研究，可以避免在翻译和使用中产生的误解和语用错误,对促进跨文化交际具有积极意义。本文分析对比了三种常见的颜色词：“红”、“黄”、“白”，并提出这些颜色词在跨文化交际中的应用。

Abstract
   Language is the carrier of culture. Color words as a part of language, not only have the beauty function, but also have rich emotional and cultural connotations. Therefore, as a kind of interlingua communication, translation is not only a process of language transform but a cultural transplant. Due to the geographical, cultural and religious differences, people hold different attitudes towards the very same color words, express them in various ways, and give them different associational meanings and pragmatic meanings. From the comparative study of culture connotations of Sino-English color words, we can avoid the mistakes and errors in translation, which is expected that the paper can be helpful in cross-cultural communication. This paper analyses and comparison three commonly used color words “red”,“yellow” and “white”, and propose the proper ways in Chinese and English to use and translate them in cross-cultural communication.
