《简爱》中的意象分析
《简爱》自1847年出版就引起了广泛的轰动，直至今日其魅力仍不减。《简爱》闻名不仅因为作品里的爱情故事,也因为作者的写作风格。在这部小说中,作者通过对自然元素进行大量的描述,如火、冰和月亮,来表现出简爱的感情或预告后面部分。这种写作风格可以很容易激发读者的兴趣,紧跟作者的思想。火、冰和月亮本是自然现象,但当作家夏洛蒂•勃朗特集中笔力在《简•爱》中对其进行描述时,它们也就被赋予了种种情绪、氛围乃至主人公命运的深层内涵,因之,这三者即从无知无觉的自然现象升格为具有多重意义的意象。更由于它们以多侧面、多角度的方式预示着人物的命运,从而为作品平添晦暗朦胧的色调,深刻揭示了作品主题,最终成为这部小说的主题意象。本文主要分析通过小说中的这些意象实例来展现意象的影响和作用。

The Images in Jane Eyre
Abstract
since published in 1847, Jane Eyre caused a wide sensation, and its glamour is still unabated now. Jane Eyre is not only famous for its love story, but also for the author's writing style. In this novel, Charlotte Bronte presents a great deal of descriptions on natural elements, such as fire, ice and the moon. In order to manifest Jane Eyre’s feeling or foretell following parts, this kind of writing style can easily stimulate readers' interest to follow Charlotte Bronte’s thoughts. Fire, ice and the moon are natural phenomena, but they are endowed with a variety of mood, atmosphere and deep connotation of the protagonists’ fates and the author's view of the world and the rebellion consciousness. Therefore, fire, ice and the moon become the images with multiple meanings from the natural phenomena without any perception. Moreover, they indicate the fate of the characters from multifaceted angles, which reveals the theme of the works profoundly. These natural phenomena eventually become the theme images of the novel. This thesis mainly focuses on analyzing those images, and uses examples in the novel to present their influence and function.
