中西方国家礼貌原则的差异

礼貌不仅被视为社会文明和发展的象征，作为一种现象，也很容易被理解为作为帮助人们保持良好的人际关系的手段。中国和西方国家的礼貌表现在问候和告别，赞美和响应等的方面。
全球化不仅发生在经济领域，同时发生在文化规范方面。本文提供概述格莱斯的合作原则，Leech的GSP原则和中国学者补充礼貌原则，阐明导致整个东部和西部的文化礼貌不同理解的原因，由于中国和许多英语国家存在着文化差异，不知道这些差异就会很容易造成沟通的问题。本文旨在阐述了中西方国家礼貌原则的差异。

On the Different Politeness Theory between Chinese and Western Countries

Abstract

Politeness is not only observed as a phenomenon, the symbol of the civilization and development of society, but also is readily understood as a means to help people achieve and maintain good interpersonal relationship. There’re differences on politeness expression between Chinese and western countries in the aspects of greeting and parting, terms of addressing, compliments and responses, etc.
Globalization happens not merely in the field of economy, but in cultural norms as well. The article offers an overview of Grice's Cooperative Principle, Leech's GSP and some Chinese scholar supplementary maxims to politeness principles, and then light is shed on analyzing the reasons that lead to different understanding of politeness across the eastern and western culture. Since there are many cultural differences in China and English-speaking Countries, they will cause communication problems if you don’t know them. This paper shows people different aspects of politeness theory between Chinese and western countries.
