析弗罗斯特诗歌中的人际关系

现代社会人与人之间越来越难以沟通，人际关系越来越疏远，到处存在着有形或无形的墙，阻碍了人与人之间的相互交往，使人处于一种封闭、孤独的困境之中。这是人类的悲哀，更是现代人生的悲哀。作为美国重要的现代诗人之一，罗伯特•弗罗斯特的诗歌大多数都以新英格兰的乡村为背景，但其揭示的主题往往具有普遍意义，表达了他对现代人的情感困惑以及人与人之间关系的关注。他的诗始终表现出对人类生存状况及命运的真诚的关怀。本文试图通过阐述弗罗斯特诗歌中矛盾的人际关系，包括邻居关系的对立、夫妻关系的对立，以及其他形式的人际关系的对立，揭示现代社会人与人相异化，人类因对立冲突的人际关系而饱受折磨的现状。同时，弗罗斯特也通过一些展现和谐的人际关系的诗歌，表达作者希望能消除人与人之间的隔阂，构建人与人之间互相关爱的和谐的人际关系。

An Analysis on Interpersonal
Relationship in Robert Frost's Poems

Abstract: In modern society, people have more and more difficulties communicating with and understanding one another, which make the interpersonal relationship become more and more aloof and alienated. Walls visible or invisible exist everywhere, which hinders the interaction between people and makes people cause to be in a closed, lonely and embarrassing position. That is the tragedy of human beings, and even the tragedy of modern life. As one of the important modern poets in America, Robert Frost writes many poems which are mostly set against a backdrop of rural area in New England. However, the themes that he reveals in his poems are of universal significance, which show Frost’s close attention to emotional perplexity of people in modern society and the interpersonal relationship. The sincere solicitude for human survival condition and the destiny can always be shown in a large number of his poems. This essay tries to reveal the cruel reality that in modern society the relation between human beings is alienated and people suffer great pain because of the distant interpersonal relationship by elaborating the contradictory interpersonal relationship, including antagonism between neighbors, antagonism between husband and wife and antagonism in other forms of interpersonal relationship. Meanwhile, Frost also writes a couple of poems which depict harmonious interpersonal relationship, including harmonious relationship between neighbors, between husbands and wives. Through describing these relations, they reveal Frost’s wish of breaking through the walls which separate man from his fellow men and establishing a harmonious interpersonal relationship which help people perceive mutual understanding, respect and trust.
