从《喜福会》看中美文化的冲突与和解

本文主要研究《喜福会》中美文化差异与和解。该小说呈现给读者的是四位中国移民母亲与她们女儿之间的故事。本文首先介绍了该小说所描述的时代背景和本论文的主题及结构。然后在文献评述中介绍了之前一些作者对文化冲突的评述和依然存在的问题。接下来本文的主要章节揭示了中美两国文化差异、母女间的文化冲突以及母亲对文化的和解所做的不懈努力，最终所达成的文化之间的和解。最后的结论中，总结出：只要人们理解并乐意主动去接受不同的文化，文化冲突就将趋于最小化，中美文化的和解也得以实现。

Abstract

This paper mainly focuses on the research of Sino-US cultural conflicts, diversity and coexistence in The Joy Luck Club. The novel presents the stories of four Chinese immigrant women and their American-born daughters. At first the paper introduces the general background of the novel, the thesis statement and the organization. And then it presents the previous review concerning cultural conflict and the remaining problems. The following main chapters of the paper discuss the conflicts and reconciliation between American and Chinese culture embodied in the novel. At last the paper concludes that people will learn that if we can understand and appreciate to accept the different culture, the cultural conflicts will be minimized and cultural reconciliation will be finally achieved.
