简析斯嘉丽的性格特征

斯嘉丽•奥哈拉是景点文学作品《飘》中引人注目的女主人公。《飘》通过对该人物在美国南北内战中的经历以及自身的遭遇，表现了战争带给人们的灾难和改变。斯嘉丽更为突出，战前的她是一个自私、虚荣的16岁女孩，唯一关心的只有她对阿希里的爱情，但在经历了战火的硝烟和对于塔拉的保卫后，斯嘉丽成长为了勇敢、果断并坚强的新南方女性，并且最终认识到瑞德才是她的真爱。 本论文分析了美国内战前后斯嘉丽性格的变化及导致该变化的原因，南北战争重新塑造了斯嘉丽，她成为新南方女性的典型代表。

Abstract
Scarlett O’Hara is a remarkable role in Gone with the Wind. This novel shows what the people have suffered during the Civil War and shows the disaster and changes brought by the war. Among that, Scarlett is the most extraordinary. Before the war, she is just a 16-year-old selfish and vanity girl, and what she cares about is only her love to Ashley. But after the war, especially with her protection for Tara, she grows up to be a brave and strong new southern woman. And in the end she realizes that Rhett Butler is her true love. This paper analyzes the change and the reason of character of Scarlett before and after the civil war. This paper examines Scarlett O’Hara’s transformation in character and analyses its reasons. The Civil War reshapes Scarlett, and she finally becomes a typical new Southern woman.
