话语分析在中国大学英语听力教学中的应用

ABSTRACT

Discourse analysis is a rapidly expanding field, providing insights into the problems and processes of language use and language learning and is, therefore, of great importance to language teachers. Listening is one of the most important and fundamental skills of language learning. For a long time language learners have been frustrated with two main factors--- linguistic and non-linguistic barriers in the process of listening. Hence, how to move these obstacles away is an arduous task that language teachers always confront.
This thesis aims to apply the theories of discourse analysis to the listening comprehension teaching in the hope of improving the teaching method so as to improve students’ listening proficiency in an efficient way. In brief, this thesis introduces some of the theories, discoveries and ideas which have emerged from recent researches into discourse analysis and listening comprehension, making a preliminary analysis and probe into the application of discourse analysis in listening comprehension teaching. The aim of the thesis is to tell both teachers and learners that discourse analysis can make up for the disadvantages of traditional teaching approach, and thus it is an effective way to improve teaching and learning efficiency.

内 容 摘 要

话语分析是现代语言学里的一个新兴学科,发展十分迅速,为语言使用与学习过程中出现的问题的研究提供了新的视角。因此对从事语言教学工作的教师意义重大。语言学习的四大技巧中听力占据首要地位,但长期以来语言知识和非语言知识的障碍一直困扰着学习者。怎样帮助学习者扫除这两大障碍---这一严肃而又艰巨的任务便摆在了听力老师们的面前。
本文试图将话语分析的理论应用于听力教学,以期通过改进教学方法来有效地提高学生的听力技能。总之,本文介绍了话语分析和听力教学中一些比较新的理论、发现和思想,同时就将话语分析用于听力教学进行初步分析与探索,从而说明语篇分析能够弥补传统教学中的不足,是一种切实有效的提高教学质量与学习效果的途径。
