1.1 研究背景
改革开放以来，随着我国经济社会的快速发展，人口大规模的流动越发频繁。人口的频繁流动引发众多现实问题，其中外来工子女的教育问题已经成为整个社会关注的焦点和难点。
近年来，我国全面推行义务教育免费政策，不少地区外来工子女已经受益于免费义务教育政策，享受与本地学生的同等待遇。在教学过程中，外来工子女的语文、数学的学习基本能与本地学生的学习步伐一致。但由于原来的英语基础薄弱，以及原英语教育方法的落后，使得大部分外来工子女学生在城区学校就读后，英语学习与城区本地学生存在较大的差异。主要体现在他们普遍存在对英语学习兴趣不够浓厚，学习时困难较大，学习习惯不好等现象。针对外来子女英语学习面临的困难和问题，本文以佛山市南海区外来工子女中学英语教学现状为切入点，通过对佛山市南海区城区本地学生与外来工子女英语学习与教学情况的实地调研与比较，分析其存在的差距、困难和问题，结合外来工子女英语学习的现实状况提出有针对性的对策建议，以此推动和促进外来工子女的中学英语教育，提升外来工子女中学英语学习的成效。

1.1 Research background
Since reform and opening up, as our economy has developed rapidly, the massive flow of the population become more frequent. Under this current situation, children's education of migrant workers has become the focus and difficulty of the whole society.In recent years,The free compulsory education policy has been implemented roundly in our country. Many migrant workers’children (MWC)have enjoyed this policy and has the same treatment with the local students in many areas. .During the teaching process, Migrant workers’ children can catch up with the local students in studying Chinese and mathematics.After ettending school, there is a great defference between migrant students and local students because of the weakness of migrant workers’ children’English foundation.It is mainly embodied the following aspects.First,Migrant workers’ children show less interest in English.Second, They feel hard to learn English.Third, Their study habits aren’t good and so on. According to the difficulties and problems of migrant workers’ children’s English study , This paper which is based on the present situation of the middle school Enlish teaching of migrant workers’ children in nahai, Foshan analyse its existing gaps ,difficulties and problems through the field research and comparism of English study and English teaching between the local students in the city and migrant workers’ children.Combining the present situation of migrant workers’children’s English study, this paper put forward pertinent suggetions in order to promote migrant workers’ children’s middle school English education and improve their English study .
