小组活动在初中英语教学中的应用

Abstract

Group work, one important part of collaborative teaching way, can cultivate students’ language skills. The new English curriculum standards for junior middle school emphasize student-centered awareness and the development of students’ communicative competence. This paper introduces group work to junior English class, and mainly analyzes the preparation, implementation of some activities such as games, role-play, interview, group discussion, and discusses some key points to improve teaching efficiency. Firstly, the paper gives a brief introduction to the current situation of junior English teaching and group work. Secondly, it elaborates the importance of using group work. Then it discusses the preparation of using group work, the application of some popular activities and some issues that should be paid attention to. The final part is the conclusion, restating the thesis of the paper.
