浅谈斯堪的那维亚语对英语的影响

任何一种语言都会随着历史的变化而改变。英语也不例外。该论文集中分析了斯堪的纳维亚语在两个时期对英语产生的若干影响。它不仅极大的丰富了英语的词汇，而且在文化，地名等方面对英语也有着巨大的影响。本文首先介绍了论文的目的，意义和结构，接着陈诉了本论文的主题。其次，介绍了语言学发展的理论，分析了维京人的入侵和美国的斯堪的那维亚移民对英语产生的影响。然后根据语言学发展的理论对比和比较了两个不同历史时期中，斯堪的那维亚语对英语产生的影响。最后为结论，重申主题。

Abstract

Any language will change along with its history. English is no exception. This paper has analyzed the Scandinavian influence on English language during the period of the Viking invasion and Scandinavia immigration. Scandinavian language has not only enriched English vocabulary, but also has huge effect on its culture and place names and so on. Firstly, the paper gives a brief introduction to the purpose, significance and organization of the paper, followed by the thesis statement. Secondly, it discusses the theories about linguistics development and analyses the Scandinavian influence on English during the Viking invasion and Scandinavian immigration. Then it makes a comparison and contrast between those two historical periods based on the linguistic theories. The final part is the conclusion, restating the thesis of the paper.
