英文电影名的翻译方法探析

 The film is a kind of art form collected artistry with business, is one of the most influential media. With the acceleration of China opening up and the development of cultural exchange between foreign countries and China, Chinese motherland markets have a large influx of more and more English movies, English movie titles translated into Chinese, as inseparable parts of English dubbed versions, is a bridge combined generally movies and audiences. English movie titles translation has become more and more important parts of translation fields. Good translations of English movie titles , play an important role in the process of new movie introduction, can make the movies better. However, the work of studying on movie titles translation is not so enough that the translation of movie title is in confusion. At the present, the most prominent problem is confused and non-uniformed, even people do not know what they mean in the same English movie title translation. Firstly, the thesis discusses the current situation of the movie title translation, and the translation methods are the main contents that are applied to different movie titles. It is usually used transliteration、literal translation、exchange translation、free translation、expanding translation to meet the needs of English movie title translation.

电影是一种集艺术性与商业性于一体的艺术形式，是最具有影响力的媒体之一。随着中国对外开放进程的加快以及中外文化交流的发展，英语电影正越来越多地涌入中国大陆市场。作为英语译制片不可或缺的部分，中文译名架起了一座把电影和观众初步联系在一起的桥梁。英语电影片名已成为翻译领域越来越重要的组成部分。好的译名能使电影锦上添花，在新片的推介过程中具有举足轻重的作用。然而遗憾的是，电影名的翻译研究工作还做得远远不够，电影名的翻译工作还混乱, 目前，西片译名的最突出的问题是混乱、不统一。同一影片有多种译名的现象屡见不鲜，常让人感到无所适从。首先，该篇论文将论述英文电影名的翻译现状，然后电影的翻译方法是该论文的重点运用于各种不同类型的电影题目的翻译。现在在电影片名翻译方面，一般采用音译法、直译法、换译法、意译法、扩译法来满足英文电影名的翻译的需要。
