生存的博弈与超人的胜利——《热爱生命》中的人性体现

《热爱生命》是美国著名小说家杰克·伦敦最负盛名的短篇小说之一。作者以第三人称的视角讲述了一个不知名的淘金者在凄凉的荒野中通过自己的抗争，寻找求生之路的故事。在与寒冷、饥饿、伤痛和野兽的抗争中，在生与死的抉择中，演奏出了一曲生命的赞歌，有着震撼心灵的力量。小说中，杰克·伦敦用现实的写法将人类一幕幕的生活悲壮不动声色地表现出来，向读者传达了两种不同含义的信息，一是“物竞天择、适者生存”的哲学思想，一是人们在困难面前英勇无畏的超人精神。杰克·伦敦用生与死的抉择告诉人们一个冷冰冰的事实：在生存面前，人性才会得到最真实的揭露。本文正是从人性的视角对《热爱生命》进行解读的，通过分析主人公所展现的强大生命意志力来挖掘这部小说所表现的深刻主题和巨大的思想艺术价值。

Abstract

Love of Life is one of the most famous short stories of the famous American novelist Jack London. In this work, the author tells a story that an anonymous gold digger through his own struggle looks for the road of survival in the bleak wilderness from the third person perspective. With the cold, hunger, pain and the struggle of beasts and in the choice of life and death protagonist plays on an ode to life, which is filled with spiritual shock power. In the work, Jack London adopts realistic writing method and quietly expresses some tragic scenes of man’s life, conveying to readers two pieces of information of different meanings: one is the philosophic thinking of “natural selection, survival of the fittest”, the other is the brave and fearless spirit of superman. In the choice of life and death Jack London tells people a cruel fact: in the face of survival, humanity will be veritably revealed. This paper tries to interpret the Love of Life from the perspective of humanity, and dig its profound theme and great artistic value through analyzing strong life willpower of the protagonist.
