母语对非英语专业学生汉英翻译的消极影响及应对措施


    伴随我国经济的发展,英语对我们生活的影响与日俱增。汉英翻译既能有效促进英语学习又能有效促进交流,深受语言学习者重视。又因其是连接母语与目标语的桥梁,所以是探索母语对第二语言习得影响的理想研究对象,也即分析汉英翻样本是研究母语影响第二语言习得或学习的较简便和有效的方式。
为了发现存在于二语学习者翻译样本中能体现母语负迁移影响的问题,作者收集并分析了50份具有代表性的大学生六级考试翻译样本。结果显示母语负迁移不仅会导致学习者表达错误或者表达不准确即中式英语,也会使学习者有意逃避使用较难的语言点。但由于避免现象不能通过错误来体现且论文篇幅有限,作者在此论文中主要分析由负迁移所导致的翻译样本的中的错误和中式英语。最后,基于翻译中存在的问题,提出相应的解决策略。

NEGATIVE INFLUENCES OF L1 ON C-E TRANSLATION IN NON-ENGLISH MAJORS AND SOLUTIONS
ABSTRACT

 With the development of economy, English plays an increasingly important role in our society. C-E translation, for the irreplaceable role in facilitating English study and promoting communication, is attached a great importance by language learners. Moreover, it combines the L2 and L1 skillfully, thus, it is the ideal object of study to catch the shadow of learners’ mother tongue (i.e. Chinese). That is, analyzing C-E translation samples is an easy and better way to find how learners’ L1 influence their L2 acquisition or learning.
 In order to find out the problems in learners’ translation which could display how L1 would interfere with L2 learning, the author collected and analyzed 50 typical translation samples of CET6. The result shows that negative influence of L1 would not only lead to learners’ errors and improper expressions, that is, Chinglish, but also result in their conscious avoidance of difficult points. Because of the limitation of space and because avoidance cannot be detected by analyzing errors in translation samples, in this thesis, the author mainly focuses on analyzing errors and chinglish in translation samples resulting from negative transfer. In the end, based on these problems, corresponding solutions are put forward.
