《罗密欧与朱丽叶》和《梁山伯与祝英台》的对比分析

莎士比亚的名剧《罗密欧与朱丽叶》表现了新兴资产阶级反对封建势力、追求自由爱情的决心；中国古典四大传说之一的《梁山伯与祝英台》则主要反映了封建礼教对人们思想的束缚。本文利用对比分析的方法探讨了这两大爱情悲剧的异同。结论指出，通过对这两部作品的异同点的分析，使我们能够更直接地认识到爱情与封建制度的矛盾冲突；这两部作品都体现了对社会制度黑暗的愤慨以及对真爱的高度歌颂。

A Comparative Analysis of Romeo and Juliet and The Butterfly Lovers
 

Abstract: Shakespeare’s famous play, Romeo and Juliet demonstrates the new bourgeoisie’s determination to struggle against feudal power and to pursue freedom of love; The Butterfly Lovers, which is one of the four Chinese classical folktales, mainly reflects the shackles of feudal ethics on people’s mind. In this thesis, comparative analysis is employed to discuss the differences and similarities between the two love tragedies. The conclusion points out that the similarities and differences between the two works enable us to gain a more direct view of the conflicts between love and feudalism; both works reveal indignation against the darkness of social system and sing high praise of true love.
