《了不起的盖茨比》中尼克成长分析An Analysis of the Growth of Nick in The Great Gatsby
《了不起的盖茨比》是美国小说家菲茨杰拉德的代表作，在美国文学史上占有重要地位。以往的研究者大多是将重点放在盖茨比的悲剧上，而对小说中的叙述者尼克的研究不多。本文则运用成长小说的理论对尼克进行分析。尼克从中西部来到东部，经历了一系列的自我与周围人的林林总总之后，对人性，对社会有了更深刻的认识，从而变得成熟，进而经历了成长这一过程。

Abstract
The Great Gatsby is the masterpiece of F·Scott·Fitzgerald who is an American novelist. This novel occupies an important place in the American literature history. In the past, most researchers have focused their analysis on Gatsby's tragedy. My study will analyze the growth of Nick who is the narrator of the novel. This paper is concerned with applying the theory of an initiation story to analyze Nick's growing process. Nick came to East from the Midwest. He went through a series of things and underwent a process of a deeper understanding of human nature and society. It is just undergoing these experiences that Nick had become mature and got to know more about society. Thus, he grew up.
