中国加入WTO后，外资银行进入中国金融市场的速度不断加快，与中资银行竞争与合作全方位展开，
中外资银行在我国的协同发展和我国金融市场的成熟化已成为金融界和社会各界热切关注的课题。本论文就外资银行在华发展策略和核心竞争力进行研究，回顾外资银行在华发展历程，阐述外资银行核心业务的开展，与中资银行进行比较，并运用相应的模型对外资银行的核心竞争力进行分析。同时指出其现有和未来在华的发展取向和策略选择，并在此基础上提出对中资银行发展的借鉴之建议。

ABSTRACT
After China’s admission to the WTO, foreign banks have been entering China's financial market at an accelerated pace, with all-round competition and cooperation between Chinese banks. The co-development of the banks and the maturity of China’s financial market have been deeply concerned by all walks of the society.
The thesis studies the development of foreign banks in China and their core competitiveness. It looks back on the history of foreign banks in China. It introduces and compares the core business of foreign banks and then analyses the core competitiveness by SWOT model. Besides, it points out the foreign banks’ developments and strategies in China, and based on which related suggestions to Chinese banks are proposed.
