从目的论的角度探讨化妆品说明书的翻译
随着中国加入世贸组织和改革开放政策的实行,中国国内市场逐步发展,日趋完善,越来越多的外国商品,其中包括各种品牌的化妆品,涌入中国市场并满足国内消费者的需求。化妆品说明书作为一种特殊的“广告”,发挥了连接生产者与消费者的不可缺少的桥梁作用;在对外经济交流中拥有很大的现实意义。然而,国内对于化妆品说明书的翻译研究尚属于国内翻译研究的薄弱环节,在实际翻译过程中缺乏系统的理论指导,因此化妆品说明书的翻译值得进一步广泛和深入得探究。
目的论是德国功能派翻译理论中最重要的理论,它认为翻译的实质是有目的的跨文化交际活动。本文另辟蹊径,在分析化妆品说明书文本类型、语言特点及功能的基础之上运用功能翻译理论中的目的论探讨英文化妆品说明书的翻译原则及策略。

A Study on the Translation of Cosmetic Instructions from the Perspective of Skopostheory
Abstract
With China’s successful entry into WTO and implementation of the policy of reform and opening-up, domestic market has gained development and perfection gradually and an increasing number of foreign products including cosmetic products are swarming into Chinese market to meet the demand of consumers in China. As a kind of special advertisement, cosmetic instructions play an indispensable role linking producers and customers and hold practical significance in the course of foreign trade communication. However, the research on the translation of cosmetic instructions is quite limited and theories applied to it are insufficient and unsystematic. Consequently, it is worth studying the translation of cosmetic instructions to greater scope and depth.
Skopostheory, the most important theory in the functional school of translation studies, states that the essence of translation is cultural communication with specific purposes. The thesis proceeds from a new perspective and discusses translation principles and strategies of cosmetic instructions by employing skopostheory of functionalist translation theory on the basis of analysis on text type, language features as well as functions of cosmetic instructions.
