“信达雅”视角下《再别康桥》三个英译版的对比分析

作为中国现代诗歌的代表人物，徐志摩的诗歌不仅在中国诗歌史上留下了浓墨重彩的一笔，同时也引起了翻译界的一股热潮。他的诗歌总结起来有三个主要特点:爱情色彩浓厚；意境悠远，风格新奇；语言富有音乐美。传世名篇《再别康桥》是徐志摩的代表作，也是他最广为流传的作品，极具个人特色。目前英语世界存在诸多翻译版本，水平参差不齐，为了更好更深入地了解英译作品，帮助读者选出心中的最优版本，本文选取三个不同时代的文本为例，从五个部分浅析其翻译特点和优劣.第一部分介绍诗歌的创作背景及意义；第二部分简单介绍诗歌在英语世界的翻译现状，并提出分析所依据的“信达雅”理论基础；第三部分简要分析和梳理了中文诗歌以及三个英译版本的总体风格特点；第四部分依据严复“信达雅”翻译理论横向对比分析三个英译版本的表达效果；第五部分对该论文做以简单总结。

Analysis of Three English Versions of Farewell to Cambridge from the Perspective of Faithfulness,Expressiveness and Elegance
 

Abstract：As the representative figure of modern Chinese poetry, Xu Zhimo's poetry left a deep impression on the history of Chinese poetry, and aroused a hot topic in translation. Three characteristics, simple but overwhelmingly strong, are the master of his poetry: longing for colorful love emotion; searching for a distant mood and unique style; being rich in language as a music. “Farewell to Cambridge” is Xu Zhimo's masterpiece and also one of his most widely circulated works with personal characteristics. At present, there are many translation versions in the English-speaking world with various levels. In order to better understand English-language translation works and help readers choose the best version in their mind, this paper selects three versions from three different eras as an example and consists of five parts. The first part introduces the background and significance of poetry creation. The second part briefly introduces the translation status of poetry in the English world and puts forward the theoretical basis on which the analysis is based. The third part briefly analyzes the overall style characteristics of Chinese poetry and three English versions. In the fourth part, according to Yan Fu’s translation theory, this paper compares and analyzes the effect of the three English translation versions. The fifth part briefly summarizes the paper.
