The Skillful Use of Ambiguous Sentences in Different ContextsAbstract: This paper mainly discusses ironic, humorous, and euphemistic effects as well as the effects of conciseness achieved by the skillful use of ambiguous sentences in different contexts (either linguistic context or non-linguistic context). At the same time, it analyses some of the devices used by the speaker or the writer to this end. With both the effects and the contexts of the ambiguous sentences treated this way, this approach towards ambiguity will not only vivify our language usage, but also help us to have a good command of language itself.Key words: ambiguity; context; positive effects
歧义句在不同语境下的妙用
摘要：本文主要讨论了在不同语境（语言环境和非语言环境）下歧义句妙用所达到的讽刺，幽默，委婉和简洁效果，也分析了说话者或作者为了达到这些积极效果所采用的一些方法。并指出同时考虑歧义句发生的语境及其所达到的效果不仅有助于丰富语言，而且还可以更好地掌握语言本身。
