An Analysis of the Consciousness of Life and Death in Mrs. DallowayABSTRACT Mrs. Dalloway is a famous novel written by Virginia Woolf, who is conceived as one of the famous feminist writers in the history of modern English literature. The contemplation over life and death has always been a major motif in her literary creation, in which she struggled to find the significance of life in her transient living experience. With an inter-textual analysis of her renowned novel Mrs. Dalloway, this thesis aims to explore the writer’s consciousness of existence and its influence on the characters’ thinking and spirit of life and death.Key words: life; death; war论《达罗卫夫人》中的生存与死亡意识
摘要
弗吉尼亚•伍尔夫是英国现代文学史上一位著名的女性主义者作家，《达罗卫夫人》是她的其中一部作品。在她短暂的一生中，她一直探索生命的意义。对生存和死亡的思考一直是贯穿伍尔夫小说创作的主题，并发人深省。她关注社会,关注灵魂，在这篇小说中，伍尔夫主要是通过不同人物对生存与死亡的理解与思考, 表达她对生命意义所做的思索及回答。本论文就该主题进行解读分析，探究《达罗卫夫人》中体现的生存与死亡意识，进一步感知生死，诠释生命的意义，传达个体在世生命的价值。
