A Brief Analysis of Tragic Aesthetics in Theodore Dreiser’s Sister CarrieAbstract: Tragic aesthetics is the study of tragedy as an art and its peculiar beauty in aesthetic category, and is the aesthetic experience which takes shape and develops in practical activities. This paper is to, by analyzing the conflicts arising from the development of Carrie’s behaviors and thoughts, that is, the conflicts between Carrie and the society and her inner self, dispose tragic aesthetics Carrie demonstrates as a tragic role and the aesthetic meaning she represents. 浅析西奥多•德莱塞《嘉莉妹妹》中的悲剧美学
摘要: 悲剧美学是对悲剧作为艺术在美学范畴内所引起的特殊美感的研究，是人在实践活动发展中所形成的审美体验。本文通过分析小说中女主人公嘉莉行为和思想发展过程中所表现出来的，她与社会以及自我的悲剧冲突，从而揭示嘉莉作为悲剧人物所展示出来的悲怆的美感，以及她所反映的美学意义。
