英语专业口语策略的研究

【内容摘要】

英语作为一种用来交际的语言在当今的世界中起着越来越重要的作用,与此同时,英语口语也越来越多地被社会所关注。为了了解英语专业学生的实际口语交际能力,我们对滨州学院100名英语专业大一学生进行了问卷调查。结果却发现学生的口语交际能力亟需提高,这反映在教学方面就是传统的教学法过分强调语法教学却忽略了语言在现实生活中的实际应用。从目前的发展趋势看,口语研究呈现出稳步上升的趋势。从研究方法上看,相关实证性研究已经远远超过非材料性研究。从研究对象上看,对本科学生的关注高于其他群体,对英语专业学生的关注多于非英语专业学生。我们通过对研究现状的分析发现目前的研究虽然取得了一定的成就,但却仍存在一些问题,比如研究对象过于单一,研究层面不足,对学习主体的研究相对薄弱等。因此提出将任务型教学等一系列方法运用到实际英语口语的教学中去并提出了英语专业口语教学中存在的问题以及一系列相应的措施。我们可以通过情景对话、角色扮演和小组讨论等措施来帮助学生提高自己的口语表达能力和交际能力。

A Study on Speaking Strategies for English Major
Abstract
    Nowadays, English, as an important communicating device, is playing a more and more important role in the development of our society. Therefore, English teaching and learning is becoming more and more important. So as to have a good understanding of the present situation of students' communicative competence, a survey is made on this issue. Students' speaking skill calls for urgent improvement. This can be clearly reflected in English teaching. In the traditional method, English teaching focuses much on the importance of grammar. However, it neglects the practical training and use of language in our real life. Through the previous research, we come to realize that the study on speaking strategies has been on the increase as far as the trend of development is concerned. Regarding the research methods, we come to realize that there are much more empirical research than non-material research. There are more emphasises on English major than non-English major as to the research subject, who are the master in their study. Through the analysis of the present situation of the study, the present research has made many achievements, though there still remain some problems such as insufficient research subject and relatively weak related research. This study tries to apply task-based language teaching to the teaching of English speaking and raises some related problems existing in the teaching of oral English. It also puts forward some corresponding measures such as situational dialogue, role-playing and group discussion to improve students' speaking ability and communicative competence.
