中学英语教学中跨文化交际

【内容摘要】

文章论述了在中学英语教学中培养跨文化交际能力的必要性以及如何培养的问题。通过分析、讨论及举例的方法论证了中学英语教学中跨文化交际能力的培养不仅能够使学生掌握一门新的语言和交际工具,增强他们的跨文化意识与跨文化能力,同时也是我国培养二十一世纪人才的需要,是提高我国英语教学水平的需要。但由于诸多原因我国中学生在跨文化交际活动中不能有效的进行交际。为了提高中学生的交际能力,作者提出了一些可行性策略,即进行教育思想改革、精改教材、提高教师的综合能力素质、改进教学方法、增强学生的综合能力等。通过对课题的研究,我们可以意识到将文化教学融入英语教学与学习中是非常有必要的。

ABSTRACT

This paper discusses the importance of developing intercultural communication competence in English Teaching in Middle School and how to develop it. The author adopts the methods of analysis, discussion and exemplification to demonstrate that to develop students’ intercultural communication competence is not just to enable students to master a new kind of language and communicative tool, to enhance students’ intercultural awareness and intercultural communication competence, but also the need of developing qualified personnel in 21st century and the need of English teaching’s development in our country. However, for various reasons, students in Middle School fail to communicate in English properly. To develop students’ intercultural communication competence in English teaching in Middle School, the author offers some feasible strategies: reforming the educational concept, refining the textbooks, developing the teachers’ quality, improving the teaching approaches and fostering the students’ integrated abilities and so on. According to the study of the thesis, we could realize that it is necessary to transmit culture teaching into English teaching and learning.
