以学生为中心的教学模式下大学英语教师的角色转变


摘  要

与传统的“以教师为中心”的教学模式不同,“以学生为中心”的外语教学模式倡导自主学习,自我导向学习,或学生参与教学大纲磋商等。通过对这一新模式中大学英语教师角色的深度思考,文章认为教师不仅是知识的传授者,还扮演着组织者,指导者,参与者,评估者等多种角色。在教学中,教师应当重视学生自主学习,帮助学生易化语言学习过程,运用各种教学方法和技巧,使学生可以取得良好的学习效果。其研究旨在帮助大学英语教师正确理解“以学生为中心”的外语教学,增强角色意识,摆正自己的位置,并且为教师个人的职业发展提供有益的参考。

The Role Transition of College English Teachers Under Student-centered Teaching Mode

BSTRACT
The student-centered English teaching is different from the traditional teaching mode. It is related to concepts such as learner autonomy, self-directed learning, or syllabus negotiation. After an elaborate study of the role of college English teachers in the new English teaching mode, the paper concludes that teachers have versatile roles: organizer, instructor, participant, assessor, etc. During English teaching, the teacher acts as a facilitator of the process of language learning, attaches importance to students’ autonomous study and is skillful in using various methods and technique to help the students to achieve their learning goals. This paper tries to arouse teachers’ role awareness in this educational innovation, which will be of much help for their professional development and vital to the success of student-centered English teaching as well.
