从雅典和北京奥运会开幕式看中西方跨文化交际差异Intercultural Communication and Culture Differences between West and China on Athens and Beijing Olympic Opening Ceremonies
Abstract
This paper focuses on Athens and Beijing Olympic Opening Ceremonies which are showing higher levels of efficient intercultural communication. That people from different culture misunderstand each other is always a problem for intercultural communication. This paper aims to arouse people’s interest in intercultural communication by giving some advices of improving intercultural communication skill, to develop people’s intercultural communication awareness and competence, and to encourage the study of different culture traditions. Olympic Opening Ceremony in Modern Olympic Game time is a celebration on the background of the host country’s tradition culture. It not only presents different civilizations but also places importance on intercultural communication. This paper compares the previous two Olympic Opening Ceremonies in the aspect of history, philosophy, art and sport, gives a brief understanding about culture differences between West and China and the causes of culture differences. It proves that under today’s global environment, efficient intercultural communication can reduce conflicts and also enlighten people to develop intercultural communication awareness and competence.

本文旨在研究雅典和北京奥运开幕式中有效地跨文化交际。文化差异是跨文化交际的一大难题，它是导致人们误解与冲突的根本原因。本文的目的是通过分析与对比雅典和北京奥运开幕式，引起人们对跨文化交际的兴趣，提高人们跨文化交际意识与能力，鼓励人们学习不同文化传统。现代奥运会的开幕式是以主办国文化传统为背景的的庆祝，它不仅展现了不同的文明，同时彰显了跨文化交际的重要性。本文对比了两届奥运开幕式中历史、哲学、艺术、运动的表现形式，分析了中西文化差异和差异产生的原因，提出了在全球化的环境下提高跨文化交际意识和能力的方法。
