试从家庭视角分析《最蓝的眼睛》中女主人公皮克拉的悲剧

摘  要

《最蓝的眼睛》是美国非洲裔女作家托尼•莫里森的处女作，讲述的是12岁黑人女孩皮克拉悲剧性的一生。本文通过分析介绍当时美国现实社会中的黑人家庭以及小说中所描述的家庭，以正常健康的家庭为对照，从母爱﹑父爱的缺失以及父母之间的冲突等方面分析了家庭对主人公皮克拉深刻影响,旨在说明主人公皮克拉的悲剧源于她的家庭。论文指出了托尼•莫里森的《最蓝的眼睛 》中的女主人公皮克拉悲剧的社会根源, 同时论文归纳总结了莫里森据此为她的黑人同胞提出的理想家庭模式。

ABSTRACT

The Bluest Eye is the debut of the American black writer, Toni Morrison. The novel is a vivid description of the tragedy of a little black girl Pecola who has an obsession of having a pair of bluest eyes which ultimately drives her into the madness. This paper intends to find out the origin of the heroine’s tragedy from the heroine’s family environment based on analyzing the black families in the American society as well as the families described in this novel. From the perspective of normal healthy family, the paper will try to express the profound influence of family on the heroine Pecola from the aspects of the loss of paternal love, the loss of maternal love and the domestic violence between her father and mother. By analyzing the Pecola’s unfortunate family, this paper not only presents a further exploration of the origin of Pecola’s tragedy from the family perspective but also concludes Toni Morrison’s ideal family model for her fellow black Americans.
