论灾难报道的社会功能

[摘 要]灾难报道是众多新闻报道类型的一种，因其往往具备多种新闻价值因素，因而备受人们的关注。灾难造成人员伤亡，财产损失，这是灾难的消极功能；另一方面，正确报道灾难新闻对于正确救灾防灾，克服公众的恐慌心理，推动事故的查处都有不可替代的作用，通过对灾难社会功能的研究，对灾难的原因进一步反思，加强防灾抗灾的措施，尽可能地减少灾难所造成的危害。

我国是世界上灾难性事故与事件发生频率较高的国家之一，而以2008年尤甚。从春节前夕持续20多天的全国大范围的雨雪冰冻灾害，到5月下旬以来南方多省的暴雨洪灾；从3月阜阳收治第一例手足口病患儿，到4月28日的胶济铁路相撞事故，再到5月12日四川汶川8级大地震，这些灾难性事件触目惊心，给中国人民留下了深深的创伤。灾难性新闻以其突发性和残酷性，成为社会关注的焦点和热点，对社会有着不可抗拒的震撼力和影响力。
