Abstract

The electronic dictionary began to appear in people’s life in the late 80s and early 90s of the last century. Nowadays, it has been wildly used around the world and been very popular among the students. But there are still many different opinions on its function. This paper will mainly have a brief discussion about the positive and negative impacts that the electronic dictionary made on the vocabulary teaching. And come to the conclusion that there is more negative impacts than positive impacts. So   we would appeal to both the English teachers and the English learners to have a dialectical view of the role that the electronic dictionary played in the English vocabulary teaching and use it effectively.

摘要

电子词典从上世纪80年代末90年代初开始出现在人们的视野当中,时至今日,已经席卷了大江南北并且在学生中间有很高的持有率。但是电子词典在教学中的功能却始终褒贬不一。本文中笔者将简单探讨电子词典对英语教学的积极与消极影响两个方面,得出目前的使用情况下消极影响占了上风。因此呼吁广大教师和英语学习者要辩证得看待电子词典在英语词汇教学中的作用,更加正确有效地使用电子词典。
