论霍桑《红字》中的人物分析与寓意分析
摘 要：纳撒尼尔•霍桑的著名小说《红字》自1850年问世以来,无疑取得了很大成功。它以华丽的语言，细腻的描写，象征主义的手法，深刻的心理分析吸引着广大读者，所以霍桑也被成为心理学家。霍桑生活的时代,正值美国历史上清教主义盛行的时代,因而清教主义思想在这一小说中有所体现在《红字》中，它最能体现霍桑的“原罪—赎罪—死亡—永生”这一创作主题，本文通过对小说中主要人物的分析及其寓意分析来探讨霍桑的人性救赎观，进一步明了作者的写作意图—人的罪恶来自于内心深处，揭示原罪即“人性本恶”这一古老而永恒的话题。

Analysis  on  Characters  and  Implied  Meaning  in  Scarlet  Letter  by  Nathaniel  Hawthorn

Abstract: The scarlet letter, a famous novel written by Nathaniel Hawthorne, has met with success since its publication in 1850.The readers are mainly attracted by its beautiful language, delicacy of descriptions , symbolic skill and profound analytic of psychology .Therefore , the writer Hawthorne is also called a psychologist. The time of Hawthorne happens to be the period when Puritanism is very prevalent in American history .So Puritanism is reflected in the novel .by analyzing the important main characters in the novel ,this article discusses the theme of redemption of Hawthorne works ,further interpret the writing purpose—sin from deeply heart ,explore a topic of old and permanent.
