浅析中英颜色词的不同文化内涵
在人类语言中存在着大量记录颜色的符号——颜色词，这些词属于文化限定词，具有强烈的民族文化特征。不同的文化背景，赋予了颜色词各种联想意义及不同的文化内涵。在第一章总述的基础上，第二章介绍了11种基本颜色词，以物体命名的颜色词，并阐述了颜色词的文化内涵，提出：由于时代的进步，中西方文化日益频繁的交流，颜色词的文化内涵在人们使用过程中有了一些转变；第三章通过文化的不对等性，偏向性和褒贬性的分析，对颜色词在英汉不同文化背景中的意义差异进行了一系列的对比；本文第四章从历史发展，社会风俗习惯，以及宗教等方面，来论述文化内涵差异产生的原因。

On the Different Cultural Connotation of Color Words in
English and Chinese

 
There exsit a great number of color terms depicting different colors of the world in human language, which belong to the cultural determiner and bear strong cultural characteristics. Because of different cultural backgrouds, people have various perception of cultural connotation and diverse imagination. Based on the introduction of Chapter One, Chapter Two gives a brief classification of eleven basic color terms , object color words and focuses on the description of cultural connotation of color words. It is evident that with the development of society and the frequent cross-cultural communications, there are changes in cultural connotation of color terms. Through the analysis of the cultural inequality, preference, commendatory and derogatory sense, Chapter Three makes a relatively complete and detailed comparison of color words in English and Chinese. In the last chapter, the author elaborates on historical factors, factors of customs and habits, and religious factors in the differences between cultural connotation of English and Chinese color words.
