从等值理论角度探讨2010年《政府工作报告》英译本
摘 要

一年一度的《政府工作报告》，是中国政府向其人民所做的过去一年的工作总结和对来年的工作部署，这也是是外国人了解中国的重要渠道。作者从西方的等值翻译理论出发，明确对工作报告研究时所用的理论依据，并介绍了中国对等值理论的争论，以及提出人们近来对工作报告的研究。之后，理论联系实际，简单叙述了工作报告的特征后，从词汇、句法、语篇层次上对《2010年政府工作报告》英译本做了详细的分析，讨论了该报告如何运用等值翻译。最后，根据等值翻译理论及政府工作报告的研究，文章归纳总结了四条翻译准则：准确性原则，完整性原则， 适应性原则，可懂性原则并对论文进行了总结及提出存在的不足之处。

A Study of English Version of 2010 Government Work Report from the Perspective of Equivalence Theory
              

ABSTRACT

The annual Government Work Report, which summarizes the past achievements and makes a plan for the coming year, is an important way for foreign countries to know more about China. Starting from the western equivalence translation theory, the thesis affirms its theory and then shows the discussion of equivalence translation theory and recent research of government work report. Then, the author expounds on the analysis and English version of 2010 Government Work Report by combining the theory and practice. After a brief introduction of the characteristic of the chosen report, it mainly discusses the translation strategies in three aspects: lexical level, syntactical level and discourse level. Lastly, based on the equivalence theory, four principles are put forward for guiding the translation of government work report, namely: accuracy, completeness, adaptation, and intelligibility. A conclusion is also made for the thesis and insufficiencies are shown out.
