摘  要

随着中国市场的进一步对外开放,国外众多服装品牌纷纷抢占中国市场,服装商标的汉译日益显示出其重要性。恰当得体的商标翻译对于刺激消费以及开拓中国市场具有重要意义。
论文以目的论为指导,介绍了商标的定义及服装商标的的特征,并详细介绍了目的论的起源和发展以及其三法则在英文服装商标的汉译方面的应用。除此以外,论文还涉及了在英文服装商标的汉译中应考虑的因素,并讨论了在”目的论”理论准则指导下英文服装商标汉译的方法。论文运用大量实例分析,以期为英文服装商标的汉译提供一定的参考。

On English-Chinese Translation of Clothing Brand Names—from Perspective of Skopos Theory
 
ABSTRACT

With the further opening-up of Chinese market, more and more foreign clothing brands are competing for market in China. English-Chinese translation of clothing brand names gains great significance. A properly translated brand name plays an important role in stimulating consuming and opening up Chinese market.
Under the guidance of Skopos theory, the thesis introduces the definition of brand name and features of clothing brand name, and intently analyzes the origin and development of Skopos theory and its three rules’ application in the English-Chinese translation of clothing brand names. Besides, the factors involved in English-Chinese translation of clothing brand names are analyzed to a certain extent. The thesis also discusses some relative translation methods based on the three rules of Skopos theory used in English-Chinese translation of clothing brand names. The thesis also uses a number of examples in order to provide some help to the English-Chinese translation of clothing brand names
