从《老友记》看模糊限制语的交际功能
摘  要

模糊限制语是指“把事物弄得模模糊糊或者不那么模糊的词语”，在交际中起着非常重要的作用。文章以《老友记》为语料，以合作原则和礼貌原则为主要框架介绍了模糊限制语的分类并重点探讨了模糊限制语在《老友记》对话中体现出来的交际功能。通过大量实例的研究，可以发现《老友记》中模糊限制语的交际功能可分为礼貌性，灵活性，准确性，自我保护等。人物在会话中经常使用“我认为”“大概”“可能”等模糊限制语可以使得表达更礼貌更灵活更准确。

On Communicative Functions of Hedges in Friends
 
ABSTRACT

Hedges are words whose job is to make things fuzzier or less fuzzy. They play a vital role in verbal communication. This paper carries a brief study of hedges, its catogries and especially its communicative functions based on Grice’s cooperative principle and politeness principle with Friends as its corpus. Through the research on the massive examples in Friends, we can easily see that hedges can function as politeness, flexibility, accuracy and self-protection etc. The characters tend to use a lot of hedges such as i think, maybe, about, so as to make the conversation more polite, flexible and accurate.
