EFL课堂互动中的错误处理研究

错误处理一直都是二语习得和英语教学领域倍受关注的论题。学者对是否纠正学习者的错误这一问题始终不能保持一致的观点。在以交际教学法为主的今天,错误是否应该被纠正及英语教师在课堂互动中如何处理错误都是值得探究的问题。根据大量的研究实例,文章研究EFL课堂互动中的错误处理,分析了对待错误处理的不同观点并具体讨论了错误处理的方法和效果。文章首先定义了错误和错误处理并对错误进行分类。其次,针对错误是否应该被纠正,文章呈现了不同教学法错误处理的方法以及教师和学生对错误的观点。文章认为在错误处理中应避免两种趋向:过度纠正或不纠正。文章着重研究在互动中如何处理错误。最后,文章认为英语教师应正确看待错误并用适当的方法处理错误。

A Study of Error Treatment in EFL Classroom Interaction

 
ABSTRACT
                               
Error treatment has long been a hot issue in Second Language Acquisition and English teaching. The researchers always have no common idea on whether learner’s errors should be corrected. In the Communicative Language Teaching era, it is a worthy problem to be probed into that whether errors should be corrected and how the EFL teachers treat errors in interaction. On the basis of a large number of previous research reports, this paper does a study on error treatment in EFL classroom interaction, analyzing the different views on error treatment and discussing the methods and the effects of error treatment. This paper first defines error and error treatment and classifies the errors. On the views of the issue that whether errors should be corrected, this paper presents the methods of error treatment to different teaching approaches and the views of teachers and students on errors. It can be considered that two tendencies which should be avoided in error treatment: over correction or no correction. This paper focuses on how to treat errors in interaction. Finally, the author considers that EFL teachers should hold proper attitude towards errors and treat students’ errors in an appropriate way.
