试论中国文化课程在英语专业能力培养中的作用
摘  要
语言与文化，密不可分。在外语教学中，要重视母语文化在英语专业能力培养中的作用和意义。文章就中国文化课在英语专业能力培养中的积极作用展开研究。针对英语专业学生汉语言文化功底薄弱的状况，分析其产生的原因，指出中国文化课在英语教学中缺失所产生的负面影响，从而论述了开设中国文化课的必要性，认为英语专业教学应重视中国文化知识，充分发挥中国文化课程在英语专业能力培养中的作用，以实现准确传播中国文化的目的和任务，让世界了解中国。并提出了比较理解中西文化、引导学生树立正确的学习观念、设置具体课程、引导英语专业学生建立起对中国文化课程的兴趣等一系列解决方法。这些措施对于促进英语专业教学改革，提高英语专业学生的能力有一定的参考价值。

On the Course of Chinese Culture: Its Function in the Development of English Competence for English Majors

 
ABSTRACT
Language has a close relationship with culture. In foreign language teaching, it is necessary to lay stress on the functions and significance of native language culture. This thesis studies the positive functions of the course of Chinese Culture in the development of the English competence for English majors. It analyzes the present situation that English majors are weak in the knowledge of Chinese culture and its causes, points out the negative effects of the lack of Chinese Culture course and illustrates the necessity of setting such courses for English majors. The author holds that more importance should be attached to the teaching of Chinese Culture in the competence development of English majors so that Chinese culture can be accurately understood and transmitted to foreign countries. Specific methods are put forward to make full use of the Chinese Culture courses, including comparative understanding of Chinese and western cultures, guiding students to have correct concept of English study, setting up specific courses and making English majors more exposed to Chinese culture. The research and findings in this paper may have practical significance to the reform of English teaching and the competence development of English majors.
