国内翻译软件现状与效用分析

翻译软件经过曲折、漫长的发展，虽然取得了巨大的进步，但是它的译文质量仍然不能令人满意。文章将对国内翻译软件的现状和效果进行考察。首先概述了人类对机器翻译的渴望以及目前翻译对整个世界的重要性。然后分析了翻译软件的种类、功能和效果。接着对我国的三种主要翻译软件（金山快译、译星、东方快车）在日常用语、商务、物理和化学四个领域的译文质量进行测评。从测评中可以看出，这三种翻译软件在处理多义词和重组句子结构方面不能令人满意。最后指出了由于翻译软件还不能达到像人类一样的高智能，所以翻译软件无法取代人工翻译。然而，尽管翻译软件在译文质量方面与人工翻译存在着很大的差距，但对促进文化交流依然有很大的作用。

ABSTRACT
After having undergone a long and winding way, great progress has been made in translation software. But the output of translation software is still far from being satisfactory. This paper will analyze the current situation, effects and functions of Chinese translation software. The author first introduces the importance of translation and the word’s thirst for machine translation and the development of translation software, then describes the current situation, functions and effects of translation software. The outputs of Kingsoft Express, Transtar and Oriental Express are evaluated then in the translation of everyday language, business language, physics and chemistry. The evaluation shows that these three translation softwares fail to handle words with different meanings and to identify the sentence structure. The bottle-neck of translation software is also discussed. Translation software can not replace human translation because translation software is not as intelligent as human beings. However, translation software still plays an important part in boosting communication despite of its shortcomings in translation output.
