论文化差异与英汉成语翻译
摘  要

成语在社会语言和文化中占有着重要地位,成语具有浓厚的文化色彩，然而，文化差异使成语翻译时会遇到一系列困难。文章分别从文化差异的五个不同方面：地理环境，历史因素，传统习俗，宗教信仰和思考方式，论证了文化差异与成语翻译的关系，试图从文化差异的角度寻找解决成语翻译时的文化障碍，并提出成语翻译的三个主要的方法：直译，意译，直译兼意译。作为一个优秀的译者，处理好文化差异与成语翻译之间的关系显得非常重要。

On Cultural Differences and Translation of English and Chinese Idioms
 
ABSTRACT

Idiom seizes an important position in society language and culture, it has strong cultural features. However, cultural differences have caused a series of difficulties in idiom translation. This paper reasons the relationship between cultural differences and idiom translation from five cultural differences factors including geography conditions, history factors, convention, religion or belief, mode of thinking; tries to look for the cultural obstacles in idiom translation on the basis of cultural differences, and summarizes three main translation methods of idiom: literal translation, liberal translation, combination of literal and liberal translation. As an excellent translator, appropriate dispose of the relationship between cultural differences and translation correctly is extremely important.
