 从文化视角分析误译现象
摘  要

本文从文化角度分析误译现象。由于英汉两种语言的差异，所以翻译错误在所难免。理解错误，表达不贴切，社会文化背景的缺乏是常见的三个误译来源。翻译不仅涉及语言问题，也涉及文化问题。在翻译的过程中，我们发现文化差异与误译密切相关。本文从生态文化方面，物质文化方面，习俗方面和精神文化方面对误译进行了阐述。近年来随着文化研究的兴起，在翻译研究领域的学者们也对翻译传统含义的理解发生了转变:翻译不再仅仅被看作是一种跨语言的活动，更是一种文化交际。文化因素在翻译中的作用越来越受到重视。

An Analysis of Mistranslation From the Perspective of Culture
 
ABSTRACT

This paper discusses the phenomena of mistranslation from the perspective of culture. Owing to differences between the two languages, translating errors and defects are inevitable. Incorrect comprehension, expressive defects and lack of social cultural background are normally the three resources for mistranslation. Translation involves not only languages but also cultures. This paper discusses the cultural gap and mistranslation, including ecological, material, institution and mental culture. In the field of translation studies, scholars’ understanding of translation in its traditional sense has shifted along with the popularity and prosperous development of cultural studies in the recent years. Translation is no longer regarded as merely a cross-linguistic activity but essentially cross-cultural communication. Cultural factors begin to gain more and more attention of translators.
